La Ventana, a small coastal village in Baja California Sur, sets the stage for deep restoration. With its warm sun, wide-open skies, and unhurried pace, it offers a natural invitation to slow down. Nestled where desert meets sea, this stunning landscape encourages gentle exploration — hike or bike through cactus-lined trails, float in clear turquoise waters, or simply sit in stillness and let your nervous system exhale. Here, time moves differently.
While La Ventana is known for its seasonal winds, our retreat is thoughtfully scheduled before the wind season begins. October brings ideal conditions: warm water, soft breezes, and beautifully balanced weather — just right for rest, reflection, and reconnection.

Tucked away on the peaceful shores of the Sea of Cortez, Casa Verde is a boutique, family-run hotel designed for rest and renewal. Surrounded by palm trees, desert gardens, and ocean breezes, it offers a quiet, welcoming space to relax, unwind, and reconnect. Ease into your day with grounding meditation and an uplifting yoga practice, focused on breath, movement, and nervous system restoration. After yoga, nourish your body with a wholesome locally-sourced brunch.
Midday
Your afternoon is yours to enjoy at your own rhythm. Explore or rest as your body and spirit call you:
Curl up with a book
Journal beneath the shade of a palm

Evening
As the sun sets, gather for a gentle evening practice—restorative yoga, breathwork, or meditation—designed to quiet the mind and prepare you for deep rest.
We’ll share dinner as a community each night, enjoying wholesome, beautifully prepared meals made with care by our local chef. After dinner, unwind in a traditional Mexican temazcal— a sacred sweat lodge experience that’s soothes the body, calms the mind, and gently cleanses from within. Some evenings may include special experiences like a sound bath or fireside meditation beneath the stars.
As you settle into bed, you’ll feel a deep sense of gratitude—for the land, the community, and the space you’ve created for yourself.
Special Experiences
Throughout the week, we’ll also enjoy a variety of included group excursions, such as:
A Seafari boat trip on the Sea of Cortez
A group desert hike
